For one recording you pay once: $0.15 a minute. If you record more often: $12 a month for 4 hours.

Skryba, or a transcription agency?
An agency pays for a person's time, and charges for it. Skryba transcribes automatically, usually in a few minutes, for a fraction of that price.

Billing questions
Do I need an account?
Not if you pay for one recording: you upload the file, read the beginning of the text and pay without an account. The subscription needs an account. A short recording reads in full without an account too; an account keeps it, because a recording without one lasts only 30 days.
What is free?
Recordings up to 5 minutes: the whole text, even without an account. With an account such a transcript stays with you for good, up to 15 minutes a day. From a longer recording you read the first 5 minutes free before you decide whether to pay. File export and the redacted version are paid.
What happens to unused hours?
Subscription hours you don't use in a month are not lost: they stay on your account for 12 months, also after you cancel. The soonest-expiring hours are always used first. Hours from packs bought before the pricing change never expire.
I've run out of subscription hours. What now?
As a subscriber you can add extra hours: 4 hours for $12, paid once, not monthly. They are valid for 12 months, like subscription hours. You can also wait for the subscription to renew or pay for one recording.
How do I cancel the subscription?
In account settings, in the invoices and subscription section, choose "Cancel" in the Stripe billing portal. The subscription runs until the end of the paid month, and after that we charge nothing. Unused hours stay on your account until their own 12 months are up.
Do the prices include tax?
Yes, all prices are gross: the amount shown is the amount charged, with any applicable tax already included. Stripe issues an invoice for every payment; with an account you'll also find it in the billing portal.
