Starting with what does not favour us: TurboScribe offers unlimited transcription at $20 a month, or $10 paid annually. If you transcribe dozens of hours a month, no per-hour model beats that — including ours. skryba.ai starts to make sense for irregular recording and for Polish invoicing.

When unlimited wins, and when it does not
The whole difference reduces to one question: how many hours you actually transcribe in a month. Below is the same calculation at several levels of use.

Above four hours the numbers turn awkward for us, because the subscription grants 4 hours a month and every further 4 hours are an extra $12. Hence $36 at ten hours, $96 at thirty and $300 at a hundred.
So the crossover sits around five hours a month. Above it, an unlimited subscription is simply better arithmetic and there is no point pretending otherwise. Below it — especially when you record every few months — paying $20 for months with no recordings is waste: with us, unused subscription hours stay on the account for 12 months, and a single recording can be paid for without a subscription.
What the price list does not show
- Billing: we sell in złoty with a Polish invoice, which simplifies bookkeeping and VAT for a company in Poland.
- Data storage: recordings sit on Cloudflare R2 within the European Economic Area, and the auto-delete setting removes the audio file after 1, 7 or 30 days while keeping the transcript.
- Judging the quality with no commitment: the transcript preview works with no account and no card, on your own recording.
- Scope: we do Polish and English, not dozens of languages. Two languages are easier to be accountable for.
None of these outweighs $20 against $300 at a hundred hours a month. They are listed because at small and medium volume they usually decide, rather than the rate.

According to published comparisons, three transcriptions a day of up to 30 minutes each. With us a recording of up to 5 minutes opens in full with no account and no card, and a longer one shows its first 5 minutes. With an account you get up to 15 free minutes a day.
Is TurboScribe cheaper?
Above roughly five hours a month — yes, and clearly so, because you pay a flat $20 regardless of volume. Below that, especially when you record every few months, we cost less: you pay for a single recording, or keep a subscription whose hours stay on the account for 12 months.
What are the file limits?
TurboScribe's Unlimited plan states files up to 10 hours and 5 GB. With us the limit is 5 GB of size with no length cap — and it is the same limit with or without an account.
